Voting Question: Why can I only spend 28 days at a Motel 6 in California?

I just moved to California and am staying at motels while searching for an apartment. According to a sheet given to me by Motel 6: "Motel 6 provides accommodations in California for no more than 28 consecutive days per stay. If your visit requires a stay of more than 28 consecutive days, we are happy to assist you in making alternative arrangements after the 28th day. Any guest that stays with us for 28 consecutive days is required to check out of the hotel for at least 7 days before checking back in." Why am I only allowed to spend 28 days in a row? Can I spend the 7 off days at a different motel?

Resolved Question: what are some of your reasons for watching MSNBC,and CNN?

mine for today is the great Joy Bahar...who tonite had a very special guest...this giant of the intellectual media introduces her guest as,"PRODUCER and DIRECTOR, Alexandra PELOSI"...forget that no one would know who she is were it not for her mommy NANCY...she was talking about her new movie(ha ha ),on of all things, homeless children in california forced to live in motels...she prattled on and on on how they only eat fast food, and have no hope without something being done...whatever that may be... Don't you just love rich liberals? she has never know ANY hardship in her life,(other than her mother)...where does the daughter of a millionaire get off passing herself off as a director? my favorite line of the night was Bahar's..."this is an important movie,...people need to know about this"...why do people even watch these heads?

Resolved Question: Can a motel raise a rate after a confirmation number has been given?

Booked a room online at a small motel in Chico California at the rate of $110 per night. Was given a confirmation number and printed out the reservation. Got a call from the manager today saying the rate was wrong and the rate will be $150 per night. Is this legal?

Resolved Question: Road Trip Suggestions (NW to SW and back in USA)?

I have always dreamed of this road trip: Seattle, along Oregon and California coasts to San Francisco, cut east to Las Vegas, north a little to Zion/Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park in Utah, then south to Grand Canyon (AZ), see some New Mexico cliff dwelling ruins, up through Colorado and to Salt Lake City, UT, then through Yellowstone/Grand Teton toward Sun Valley, ID, then Spokane, WA and back to Seattle. I have plugged it all in to Google maps, and gotten a nice little trip plan. However, I am not sure what I even want to see, or why I want to go to all these places. I love hiking & camping (would probably drive a small sedan and bring a tent - and plenty of motel money, too). I also love photography and the scenery of the Southwest. My question is: Have you been to these places? Better, have you road-tripped in this area? What did you like? What was off-the-beaten-path? What didn't you like? Any revisions you'd make? (I know, I know, it's all based on what I want to see - but just give me some suggestions to start with.) Also, any general road trip suggestions? (e.g. "You won't like driving as much as you think you will!") Thanks!

Resolved Question: I live on the East Coast. Would it be cheaper to drive to California, or get a ticket?

And how much would it be? I know if I drive, I would have to stop at a cheap hotel or motel or something (would like to shower, I think by car it would take 3 days-ish), but which would would be better?

Resolved Question: I have two years too make a bunch of money in 2 years.?

Well i'm 15 and my birthday is soon. Me and my friend are moving too Seattle when we reach 18. I live in Mississippi and she in California. I have too buy a one way ticket too California ,which i guess would be 500 dollars? (I've never been on a plane before.) Then i have too rent a car and rent a motel. (I don't know what that could possibly cost.) Then my friend and i are planning on going too Disney land and a concert.(I don't know.) Then i need another ticket too Seattle,Washington.(I don't know.) Also i need too get some school expenses. Like a laptop and a camera. (And if i want a GOOD laptop and camera that could cost around 2,500) Then first and last months rent (Of course my friend will through in on that.) but if i want a good neighborhood that could cost 1,000 a month. Then i have too apply too collage and those expenses are : Quarters : 8 Credits : 90 Cost per credits : 471.00 Total tuition : 42,390.00 Application fee : 50.00 enrollment fee : 100.00 Student activity fee : 35.00 Quarterly texts & supplies : 350.00 Starting kit : 1,050.00 Now i'm going for media arts : Video production. And i think i'll apply for collage when i'm 19 so i can get settled in Seattle for a year, then apply for a loan. And i'm getting a job right now and i thought about selling Avon? So that could take care of some of those expenses, but i'm kinda scared about money? Will i be okay? Also i need too furnish the apartment? I have no idea how much that's going too cost?

Resolved Question: Should Americans boycott Las Vegas?

Nevada is considering passing a state immigration law similar to the Arizona law. The unions representing the casinos, motels and hotels in Las Vegas are fighting against it as they feel the great number of illegals they have employed there will be forced to flee the state and they will not be able to take care of the tourist business. Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the United States. There are thousands of U.S. citizens and legal immigrants in Nevada and California that would quickly fill the jobs left by the fleeing illegals. U.S. citizens and legal immigrants need the jobs. Should people and ethical businesses boycott Las Vegas until the Nevada immigration law is passed? If the Las Vegas gaming kingdom can not support legal immigrants and U.S citizens then why should any of us support their gambling?
