A Bethel, Connecticut, motel is an accommodation designed for motorists, usually having direct access to an open parking area. The word motel is a portmanteau of motor and hotel, initially referred to a type of accommodation consisting of a single building of connected rooms faced a parking lot and/or a common area.
Bethel, Connecticut, motels usually have a homogenized appearance and are designed to cater to motorists. Motels are typically constructed in a "I", "L", or "U" shaped layout that features guest rooms, an attached manager's office, a small reception area, and sometimes a small diner.
Other Bethel, Connecticut, motels offer more visual distinction, often featuring eye-catching neon signs and themes from popular Americana.
Motels differ from hotels in their common location along highways, while hotels favor locations in urban cores. Bethel, Connecticut, motels also are oriented to the outside, while hotels have their doors facing an interior hallway. Motels include a parking lot, while some hotels were not built with automobile parking in mind.

Resolved Question: Super 8 Motel in Groton,CT?
I am flying to visit my fiancee in Connecticut next month. I don't get to see him very much considering he is in the navy so this trip means alot. My plane ticket was over $500 so we don't have very much to spend on a place to stay. So...I think I am going to be stuck at the Super 8 Motel because it is cheaper. I am going to have to stay inside the hotel during the day by myself because he will be at work untill around 4:00pm. I am only 18 and have never stayed in a hotel by myself before so I'm a little concerned. I will only be by myself during the day though. Can anyone who has stayed here give me an idea on whether or not it is safe and how clean/decent it is for a lower cost motel?

Resolved Question: Cousin Suddenly Showed Up. HELP!?
When I was a kid I had a cousin who was 10 years old older then me. He was mental and very annoying. He never would leave me alone when he visited (he lives in Alabama, I live in Connecticut). I put up with him until I was 18. I decided to keep him out of my life. I have been married twice and he wasn't invited to either weddings. I had two kids from my first marriage(almost 2 and 3), plus I raise my 5 year old niece and my current husband had three kids from a previous marriage(ages 5, almost 9 and 12). In January we had a child together. We are very happy family.
Now, out of the blue, for the first time in 11 years, he comes and sees me, without calling. His reason for coming is that he heard I had a new baby (I didn't tell him and I don't know who did). He expects to stay at my house. One, I don't want him here. Two, I have no more room. We have no guest rooms at this time. My almost two year old and three year old are even sharing a room until we can finish renovating the attic so my three year old can have her own room and the two five year old girls started rooming together a month ago because the roof leaked in my niece's room and it's taking forever to repair and repaint. When I told him there was no room, he said he'd sleep on the couch. But I don't want him here! My husband at first thought he was nice, then he realized what I meant. So my husband, nicely, asked how long he planned on staying. He informed us he'd be staying for a month, maybe two. I asked why. He told me that he just wanted to see me. OK, I can tolerate that. If he was staying in a motel and just for a few days.
What can we do? I've offered to get him a motel room, but he said "I want to be around you and your family."
Him being here has reminded me of how upset I would be when he visited. I'm almost thirty now and I'm upset I still can't handle it. I don't want to call the cops, but I don't know what else to do. He's bugging my older step-kids (the almost 9 year old and 12 year old) to the extreme. The almost nine year old actually asked me if she could spend the night at her friend's until he left!
PLEASE HELP!
I put this in Grade Schooler because it's affecting my kids, not just me.
What reasons should I give? I find you annoying?

Resolved Question: Private Places in Hartford Connecticut?
My girlfriend goes to school in Massachussetts and I go to school in New York. We decided to make Hartford Connecticut a nice weekly meeting place when school is in session since it's comfortable for commuting.
We'd like to find a nice, private place to be together, not necessarily do anything too sketchy...Are there any big grassy parks or affordable (given the finances of two college students) bed + breakfast places around? Getting a hotel/motel room is either too expensive, tasteless, or both x.x
Much thanks!

Resolved Question: Connecticut-Montreal-Quebec-Connecticut in December, by car or train?
Hi guys,
I was wondering if you guys can help me to decide. I'm planning to have a vacation to Canada this winter. I'll be travelling with my brother (only 2 of us). I'm kinda confused, so should i drive or take a train. Gas price, parking fee, public transportation during in Canada, safety driving, and budget are my consideration. For information, i'll spend 2 nights in Montreal, and 2 nights in Quebec.
I would really appreciate your help, and please provide the links for further information (ex. train, public transportation, motel, etc)
Thanks a lot.
