Resolved Question: Looking for a place to stay in VA Beach and/or Ocean City Maryland?

Soooo, I might go on vacation this summer for the first time in....a few years lol. (with my husband, baby and gramma) And I'm wondering, what's your favorite place to stay in Ocean City Maryland or Virginia Beach? ((oceanview/oceanfront locations only please)) What were your experiences with housekeeping/appliances/location? Was it noisy at night? **loud parties/crying kids etc.** We'd like experiences with hotels, motels and condos. How much it cost for a week or thereabouts would be nice as well. :) I'm also looking for the name of a restaurant in ocean city....i ***think*** it might be called Macky's but I'm not sure it had a large wooden mermaid above the host stand. It was bayside and you could eat out on the beach... Awesome :) Thanks muchly dr_nigel :D

Resolved Question: Not religious, dumb/funny laws in America?

I am American and proud of it. So, I am not anti-America. It's just funny. New York: 1. It is against the law to throw a ball at someone’s head for fun. 2. Slippers are not to be worn after 10:00 PM.' 3. The penalty for jumping off a building is death. hahahaha duh! California: 1. No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour. 2. Nobody is allowed to ride a bicycle in a swimming pool. 3. Sunshine is guaranteed to the masses. Maryland: 1. It’s illegal to take a lion to the movies. 2. Oral sex can not be given or received anywhere. Florida: 1. It is illegal to sell your children. 2. Having sexual relations with a porcupine is illegal. 3. It is considered an offense to shower naked. 4. You may not fart in a public place after 6 P. North Carolina: 1. It’s against the law to sing off key. 2. If a man and a woman who aren’t married go to a hotel/motel and register themselves as married then, according to state law, they are legally married. Utah: 1. It is illegal not to drink milk. Virginia: 1. You may not engage in business on Sundays, with the exception of almost every industry. 2. It is illegal to tickle women. Texas: 1. It is illegal to sell one's eye. 2. It is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing. It makes you wonder what were people doing to make this a law? Not all of them are enforced. http://www.dumblaws.com/

Resolved Question: Where should i stay in ocean city maryland for senior week 2010?

Ok so im a senior in high school and me and my buddies are already starting to plan for senior week 2010. We definately dont wanna pay over $1050 for a week for a room. We will have 6-8 people staying in our room. However, there are some things to consider. We dont want to be too far from the boardwalk. Inside 50th street would be nice. We also dont want to get hassled by landlords or hotel security. Obviously, we will be drinking, partying, making noise, and whatnot. We're not gunna light the place on fire but u know how senior week can get lol. So we're looking for a safe, conservative hotel, house, motel, or apartment to stay at that is very lenient but not too far from the boardwalk. Any recommendations would be wonderful. thx

Resolved Question: Lawyers will not help me. Owners of my aprartment complex are violating my tenant and human rights.?

My apartment complex is going through renovation. The new property owners are extremely violating my tenant rights. They illegally removed my personal belongings without a judgment from a judge. I was not present nor were the US Marshals. I refused to relocate because they were relocating me in the state of Maryland. My children and I live in Washington, DC and I receive DC benefits. The owners along with my landlord want me to commit FRAUD by not telling the DC benefits office about relocating. The relocation place in Maryland is FILTHY, MOUSE INFESTED, and there have been NUMEROUS ROBBIES AND BREAK-INS. By refusing to leave I wanted to be ordered to leave by a judge. The landlord and the new owners of the complex REFUSED to give me a summons for court because they will have to SUE ME FOR PROSSESSION in which THEY NEVER DID. So, they illegally CUT OFF MY LIGHTS, WATER AND GAS. Mind you, I have two small children. The new property owners hired a PHONY moving company with unknown people from off the streets to remove my things without me being present. Now my kids and I are from pillow to pillow and sleeping in motels. I’m afraid and so are my children. I have to stay in DC in order to get my kids to school everyday. This is my last year of college and this whole process with the new owners is stressing me out every single day. The property owners along with the landlord are refusing corporate with the procedures for tenants that live in Washington, DC that apartment buildings are going through renovation. I went for help at the legal clinic; it’s nothing they can do unless I’m being evicted and my RENT IS PAID ON TIME EVERY MONTH. I went to HUD in which my apartment complex is through subsidized rent. They can’t do anything because my apartment complex is PRIVATLY OWNED. HUD would have HELPED if I was in a housing project. These people violated MY CIVIL, HUMAN, CONSITUTIONAL and TENANT RIGHTS. I need help. All they’re doing is laughing in my face. Please what should I do? How can I get help from a lawyer? I need a lawyer really bad? Student lawyers didn’t help me at all.

Resolved Question: How can I get over my GF's previous unhealthy relationship?

I've been dating this girl for about three months. She's had a difficult past and has a lot of "stories" to be told about what she's been through. In general, it's hard to cope with, but I can at least understand most of it. Among her problems is that the only two relationships that she's been in have both been unhealthy and neither of which have been the kind of thing that she could tell her parents about. Here in lies the one problem that I just can't get a grip on. The second relationship she was in was fairly recent (one year ago) and she was arguably in a vulnerable state having just left an abusive relationship and having fairly recently moved out of her Mother's house. Now, I am 17 and she is currently 18. At the time, she was 17 and the guy was 27 and she had been taking guitar lessons from this man for awhile. I guess at the time it seemed healthy to her, because he was someone who actually seemed to care about her. At the moment she says she understands that it was wrong and she appears to have lost her feelings for him and claims to be over any emotional struggle with the issue. I would like to be supportive, but I just can't grasp such a concept. Here are the specifics: They were in this relationship for about a month during which she would sneak out at night and they would have sex in the woods or in motels. It's extremely difficult for me to picture her in this kind of vulnerable state and I can't rationalize ANY relationship a teenager could have with that big of an age difference. I want to be supportive, but it's just not something I can wrap my head around and deal with. After about a month of this he moved away and I guess they remained in an Open Relationship, I assume this because when I asked her out three months ago she had to talk to a guy in Maryland before she could say yes. They still maintain a connection through Facebook. I feel bad taking such strong issue with something in her past that doesn't REALLY affect us today and I can't rationalize ending a relationship based on an "ex-boyfriend" if you can even call it that, I just can't stand to imagine her with a man that couldn't have anything but malicious intentions (in my opinion). Can anyone offer any advice as to how I can cope with, fully understand, forget about, or in any way get over the fact that my girlfriend did it with a man almost twice her age?
