Resolved Question: New York Area Hotels?

I live in Manhattan, but do not know the other boroughs and New Jersey that well. Where can I get a halfway reasonably priced hotel for a friend that is visiting in September? It has to be a private hotel, not a hostel. And I think I would prefer a chain hotel. Ideally I'd like a fairly nice place that is near the subway line but preferably not an airport motel. If anyone has had a good experience a such a place I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thanks.

my friend, sister and i are taking a road trip to new jersey and were staying at a motel for four nights. the motel comes with a microwave and a mini fridge/freezer. i was wondering what are some cheap foods that we can take with us to the motel to eat, cos we don't want to have to buy food everytime we get hungry (:

Voting Question: My current lease ends a day before my move-in date to a new apt. What should i do?

My current apartment's lease will end on July 31st 2010. I already found a new apt. and its lease will start on Aug 1st 2010. I was hoping i will be able to move-in to my new place on the 31st, but current tenant might not be able to move out till Aug 1st. AND my current landlord doesn't want me to stay for one extra day( Aug 1st). Which means, I could be a homeless with all my belongings for a night! Renting UHAUL truck for overnight and stay at motel or something could be my option, but i don't know if i want to do that unless that's the only option i have. Have you ever been to this kinda situation before? Is there any movers that will take care of this kinda situation?? i live in Jersey City, NJ and my new place is only 5 blocks away from my current apt. PLEASE HELP!! ANY SUGGESTIONS??

My boyfriend and I are looking to drive somewhere and take a little vacation. I'm 19 and he's 20. We were looking around New Jersey and possibly Williamsburg, Virginia. Are there any places anyone knows of that doesn't require people to be 21?

Resolved Question: Looking for cheap family lodging in NJ?

I'm going to take my family (2 adults, 3 kids ranging from 3-6) to New Jersey. We're primarily going to Wildwood and I'd like to stay fairly close to the beach, but I don't mind walking a bit or even a short drive. We'll only be there for about 3 days, and it will be in the middle of the week (either Mon-Wed or Tues-Thurs) probably in mid-July. I'm open to cabins, hotels or motels, but I don't own an RV or a tent (although I suppose I could buy a tent if it's a drastic difference). Any suggestions for nice places for reasonable pricing? I'm really hoping to stay below $100/night.

My friends and I plan on heading out west this summer, but unfortunately we only have two weeks to do so. We plan on driving non stop most of the time. Probably rarely staying at motels except when we're at the destinations themselves. What's the best route to take and things to see either on the way there or on the way home? Also, is two weeks enough to do a good amount of things? Our main objectives are rushmore, yellowstone, and the tetons. Thanks!

Since I know I will just get insults - no, I'm not a prostitute or cheating. I live in DC and I'm dating a guy in New Jersey and Philly is halfway between the two. It would be nice to get together for a day trip without having to shell out for a full hotel.

Resolved Question: motels new jersey/weehawken?

i'm going on a road trip to NYC. we are planning on staying in new jersey/weehawken/hoboken etc. (as close as possible to public transport to NYC). any advice on motel choice? needless to say, it should be cheap (under 80 bucks per night) and clean (nothing fancy at all)!
