New Mexico Motels News
Resolved Question: I need help finding a movie that played on syfi 2-3 years ago.?
The movie was about a guy who found a motel key that would take him anywhere he wanted, and other people who had magical objects would try to get the kill. EX: a man had a bus ticket that would teleport people to new mexico. I also remember a guy who had a comb that would stop time for a few seconds. The other thing that I remember that is was one of those hour long segment movies that syfi played for a week.

Resolved Question: Southwest trip in February, any tips or suggestions?
Am wondering about weather conditions for the following trip. Will be flying into Mesa from Fargo, ND on February 6th and renting a car(what kind of vehicle would you suggest for the following trip, I'm from northern Minnesota and drive a front wheel drive vehicle there). Will be heading north to the Grand Canyon on the 7th, then west towards Kingman, AZ for the night. Next day to Las Vegas and northeast to Utah hoping to make it to Page, AZ the next night. Then over to the 4 Corners and south to Gallup, NM for the next night. West to the Petrified Forest and then south to Tuscan, AZ. Haven't reserved motels yet as the travel plans are flexible as of now. I am wondering about info on weather conditions (temps/ snow chances/ road hazards) for the trip up to the Grand Canyon from Mesa, west towards Kingman, then through southern Utah, northern, northeastern and eastern Arizona and northwestern New Mexico. Any and all info and suggestions are a great help. Thanks and have a great day!

Resolved Question: Is this a case of you get what you voted for?
Whirlpool in Evansville IN. applied for the Bush tax break in January 2009 allowing them lay off all their workers and their 1000 plus jobs to Mexico. Not only will whirlpool receive a huge tax break for doing so they are exempt for Obamas high tax penalty for moving jobs beyond US Borders since they applied prior to the new law that went into effect in May. It is ironic since Evansville In that I personally know well on the South East corner that borders Kentucky is a proud die hard redneck republican community. They supported Bush and were against health care reform in fear of loosing their company insurance and forced to taking government insurance. This was a lie and they were miss lead. They now have no job in a community where everyone worked at Whirlpool and will have no insurance if the health care reform fails. Evansville look at the bright side 10 miles north at the I-64 get on ramp there are two pilot truck stops, a quick lube, the tire shop a mom and pop truck stop, a flying J aka flying hook truck stop a couple of motel/hotel and micky d's, between all that they should be able to hire maybe 10 people out of 1000 plus, you folks know how hard it is to find jobs around their. Is this a case of you get what you voted for? The George Bush Tax Break Plan for shipping jobs out of the country?

Resolved Question: Cruise, Disney World, or sightseeing trip after Graduation?
I am 100% sure that I am going on a trip for myself after my college graduation in late May early June 2010. The thing is, I am not sure what to do or where to go. The three options I am considering are
A. A Norwegian Cruise line 7 day trip Boston-Bermuda (I wouldn't have to pay any airfare, so that's why I picked it) I'll be going in an inside cabin with either my sister or a friend
B. 5-6 Days in Disney World at a value resort, I have been there once before with my family, like the cruise I'd go with my sister or a friend. This would require airfare from Boston-Orlando, and more money spent on food and drinks then the cruise.
C. A sightseeing trip solo for 7 days or so. Staying in a cheap motel in either Albuquerque New Mexico, or New Orleans, two places I've always wanted to see. I'd probably spend time seeing the sights, museums (I love museums) and parks etc. A little shopping for a unique souvenir I can't get at home. I've always wanted to see New Orleans, and the New Mexico culture has always intrigued me (I'm a student of Native American and Latin American history)
My parents will probably give me a few hundred $$ for a graduation present, so that will soften the blow for any of these trips. Any advice over what would be the best value/most fun? I am not a party animal, I prefer culture, history, and relaxing to drinking (which I rarely do in college)

Resolved Question: I really need help with this - i'm worried - America trip?
Ok, well i really need your help with this everyone :)
I'm getting worried and really need some opinions.
I have been to the USA several times, and even worked over there a few years back ( i got granted a USA work visa) and i have booked to go back with my girlfriend to New York as a surprise Christmas break.
The thing is, i'm quite worried.
A few years ago ( 5 ) i met a bad girl who pretty much stole everything and anything from me. Because of this, i ended up having no place to stay for a week ( i had just moved to the other side of the country for a new job so didn't have anyone i could go to).
I ended up going to a motel ( nothing flash) and saying i was a neighbour who had been locked out while my parents were away and could i stay here etc - i even gave them my passport and i stayed there for 5 nights ( to have somewhere to sleep) and then as i had no money, i left.
A month went by and i got my pay so i went back to pay them. They were mad as they knew i was never a neighbour - anyway, by that stage, they had called the police ( they did as soon as i left) and i madde an appointment and went to my police station.
The end result was i had to go to court ( the small one) and i explained what had happened and they told me i had to pay the money back to the hotel, which i did.
They said i was silly and they said it was " obtaining services by deception)
I know it was silly, and i guess it;s easy for people to judge. But when it's winter and you have no where to sleep, you'd be amazed what people will do when they are backed into a corner. Saying that, i know it was stupid.
Anyhoo - i have been away many times since this happened ( 5 years ago) and as i said, i'm booked to go to New York at Christmas.
The thing is, i hear that if you have ever done anything wrong, you are not allowed in any more.
BUT....i have friends and work collegues who did stupid stuff when they were younger ( more serious) and they have all recently been to several states and not had a problem - they said they have to fill in a card before they land and it says have you ever been convicted of a crime involving drugs, violence, guns etc and you tick no - as what i did doesnt cover that.
They say ( from different sources) that they are only really interested in people who have been involved in drugs, fighting, guns or terrorist acts or if you have been to prison - and these are the things that flag up on your passport.
So i just wondered if anyone had any experience or knew about this,
And please - no " sneak through Mexico" :)
thanks so so much all :)
I live in London, England.

Resolved Question: How to find a cheap vacation home to rent in Santa Fe over Christmas for 1-2 weeks?
Hi there, I am interested in going with my family to Santa Fe, New Mexico for Christmas and we were thinking that renting a house for one or two weeks would be cheaper than a hotel and motel, we are four people, all over age 19. We are picking Santa Fe because my mother can drive there from Colorado Springs so we can have a car for us to use, if you think of another better or similar place we should go instead to save some money but still relax and have fun let me know! Thanks :)

Resolved Question: REPOST: I know its long, but please read, and give me advice?
Me and my fiance live in New Mexico. We just recently moved here from Florida, (where I have lived all my life) He is a welder, and travels. The problem is, right now we don't know if we are going to settle here or not, and its kind of stressful because I'm pregnant, and I want to keep a doctor! He makes really really really good money on the road, but its hard because I never know where we may be in a couple of months. This job here may be permanant, but I don't know how I feel about staying here, raising my daughter away from her grandma and other family. I know I can visit and stuff, but I don't think the 32 hour drive to Florida with a newborn would be very enjoyable. Not only that, but I haven't been eatting good at all because we are staying in a motel right now. So when we do eat, its fast food, or we eat out at resturants... Uhhg I just want to be settled, but the only problem is theres hardly any welding jobs in Florida that pay decent... And honestly, with me being pregnant, I don't want to travel from state to state and not have a home, or a decent place to live besides a motel. And, I came out here thinking this job was permanant... and I had to get used to the idea of living 1,000 miles away from my family, but now hes telling me the job may end in September. If we go back to Florida, he won't have a job!! So what do I do? Its all so crazy. He wants to go on the road, but I'm not to sure its the best thing for me... I'm due in December, and I want to have the baby in Florida. Its kind of important to me, but he doesn't want me to be gone away from him, or miss the birth...
Its making me crazyyy! ): Any advice??
Oh btw, my baby's moving around! I love it!! (:
Just thought I'd share that, its kind of a new feeling to me!

Resolved Question: I am a 16 year old and I need to go to New Mexico for two weeks or so. How do I do this?
I have never traveled alone before so I have not the slightest idea what I'm doing. I'd need a flight from St. John's Canada to Albuquerque, a motel for two weeks, etc etc. So where do I start?
