Texas Motels News
Open Question: Obama and Co.................?
It’s a slow day in a little East Texas town. The sun is beating down, and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit…..
On this particular day, a rich tourist from back east is driving through town. He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night.
As soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the bill and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher.
The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt to the pig farmer.
The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel.
The guy at the Farmer’s Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to the local prostitute who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer her “services” on credit.
The hooker rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with the hotel owner.
The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the rich traveler will not suspect anything.
At that moment, the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the $100 bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money and leaves town.
No one produced anything. No one earned anything.
However, the whole town is now out of debt and now looks to the future with great optimism.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is conducting business today!!

Voting Question: Should I have been charged with disorderly conduct? PLEASE ANSWER ASAP?
According to the Texas Penal Code, you can be charged with disorderly conduct if you do any of these in a public place:
1. Use “abusive, indecent, profane, or vulgar language,” of the kind likely to provoke a physical altercation. These are known legally as “fighting words.”
2. Make an obscene gesture that is likely to start a physical altercation.
3. Use chemicals to make a “noxious and unreasonable odor.”
4. Verbally abuse or threaten another person “in an obviously offensive manner.”
5. Make an “unreasonable noise” in a public place or near a private residence that’s not your own. The law defines “unreasonable” as making a sound that is more than 85 decibel levels after being warned once by a police officer. Remember, this a state law, separate from any local noise ordinances.
6. Get into a fight with another person.
7. Fire a gun, or display a gun with the intention to scare other people.
8. Expose your genitals or anus in a “reckless” manner that disregards anyone else who might see you and be offended.
9. Peek into someone else’s home or motel room, or into a private restroom, shower stall, or dressing room for “lewd or unlawful purposes.”
MY STORY: My ex and I were parked under some trees in a secluded area in my neighborhood to talk. In order for you to see what was actually going on in the car, you had to have had no life, came close to the car and peeked through the tinted windows. (I can't actually prove this, but my intentions were never to have sex in a car. I don't put out in vehicles. My ex and I were not doing so well anyway, so let me establish that i just allowed him to take me home and my intentions weren't to do anything else. I've ended the relationship, but i knew how much he loved me so i've been allowing him to spend as much time with me before i move away to college this June; even if that means letting him take me home.) Anyway, so on the way to my house he decided to park in this area to "talk". I agreed that we could pull over and verbally talk about some things. So things get a little emotional, and he starts to cry about how he wishes i'd stay with him and that he didn't want me to leave and blah blah blah...SO, he leans in to kiss me and so i kiss him back to show that i care about him (and all of that other mushy stuff). Things get a little carried away and so he reclines my seat and climbs over on top of me and kiss all over my neck...We spot this woman looking across the street. She was walking a little close and straining her eyes i guess to try to see what we were doing. (The seat was reclined all the way down so we had no idea that she saw us kissing. And the windows were tinted).
Now i had on these heels which were burning my legs all day. He asks me "Do your legs still hurt? Would you like me to rub them?" So yea, i let him massage my legs... I let him manipulate me into thinking this was just something he was doing for fun and that he missed me a lot so he just wanted to fool around and touch me a little. This was all just a moment of consolation. So he wanted to remove my pants and rub down my legs...so.. it was a little uncomfortable but i didn't think it was a big deal. As long as i kept everything else on, it was okay to me (i thought for some stupid reason). Now i'm turned side ways not paying attention to what he was doing behind me. He was just supposed to be massaging my legs. His pants are now kind of sagging down and his belt unbuckled like he intended on removing his pants also...That's when these cops come, and bang on the window saying "Alright come on, step out of the car now and don't try to hide anything" So my ex immediately opens the door and gets out so the officer wouldn't think we were trying to hide something. I put my pants and shoes back on, while the officer yanks him out of the car with his pants sagging down a little with his belt unbuckeld. The officer also saw me in my underwear (which looked very suspicious). He charges us with disorderly conduct according to NUMBER 8 of that list above. Which meant that were exposing ourselves recklessly (like mooning) not caring who saw us. Which wasn't true. The officer had to spend like 20 minutes contemplating what he could charge us with. He didn't witness any gentitals or anyone's anus. Where we were parked, you could tell that were not trying to "expose" anything to offend someone. Even if the officer had suspicion, he didn't have suscipcion that were EXPOSING OURSELVES IN A RECKLESS MANNER.We should have just recieved some warning and a call to our parents, but not a ticket that goes up to a $500 fine. What were doing might had been PDA, but there is no law for that in texas. So these are the main points: Secluded area, no sexual intent(just PDA) reclined seats, tinted windows.... DISORDERLY CONDUCT for EXPOSURE IN A RECKLESS MANNER? I don't think so...Let me know if it's worth fighting against, or if i should just plead guilty.

Voting Question: What should I do in my relationship? I need help! PLEASE!?
I am here cause I need some advice please noone be mean or cruel or anything I just need someones opinion and just someone to talk to. I have no where to turn a the moment.
I am 29 years old and I have a 9 year old son. His biological dad has never been around but my husband and I have been togather for 4 years now and have been married for 2. My son calls him daddy and loves him. I also have 2 step kids a son and daughter that I love so much and I want the kids to be able to talk and everything. Anyway here is the deal.,.
We met over a chat line. I was in Texas and he was in Boston we talked for about 2 months before he came and saw me everything was great then. Then a few months later I came to Boston to see him by myself and when we were in the grocery store getting something I asked him what he thought we should get and he said it does not matter he is not my master and just had a attitude. When we got back to the motel room he told me that he was leaving and I said but I spent all this money comming to see you and he said he did not care. Then he apologized and he seemed so sincere and everything. I went to Texas the next day and he stayed. We talked for about 2 more months and then I decided that me and my son would move down here with him and we would start a life togather. We got here in May 2006. Everything was okay for maybe 2 days and then everything just went strange he would just get mad over nothing, I mean he would come home from work and not saying anything to anyone and he would get all mad at me because I would say to him that he could at least acknowledge me or something when he comes home and he would just get mad at not talk to me or just say he was leaving but wouldnt leave. Then everything seemed so strange he started expecting my son to do school work all the time and it was summer time now dont get me wrong yes i believe in a kid working on things to improve but it just seemed like everything needed to be so perfect. He would say things to my son like there is no way in hell I am going to be out working in the hot sun and you are going to be here doing nothing but playing and everything and i would get mad at him and tell him to leave him alone he didnt do anything. I was going to just up and leave but then my son and yes I know I am the adult but he said to me I want to stay he is my dad and I love him so I said ok we will work on it. Then one day my son was sitting at the table writing something and my husband said to him no that is not good enough it needs to be better and just kept going so I went in there and told him that he needed to back off and leave my son alone because he is trying and my husband told me that he was tired of my damn mouth all the time and hit me. I cried and my son started hitting him telling him to just leave me alone and my husband got up to leave cause he said he did not want to stay since he hit me and my son ran to him and begged him to stay so that was that. But, it just continued for a long time everything had to be his way and if it wasnt he wouldnt always hit me but he would just get quiet and not talk or do anything with us. I tried to find anything and everything that I could to be a reason for him being like that so I thought maybe it was because of work he was always so tired so I told him to quit and find something else and he did quit. He wanted to get his CDL so I told him to just work on that and I would take care of everything else for awhile. So everything was a little better until the day we got married. We dropped my son off at his grandmas and went home to spend time togather and my husband started yelling at me about a house we were looking into and all i said was that she hadnt called and I did not know what to tell him then he jumped up and just started hitting me and I just fell the ground and just cried and cried and he came over there and told me it was going to be ok. Not even a hour later he hit me again and left a big bruise on the side of my head and by my cheek and I know dumb me should of just gotten up and left but I didnt his momma told him to leave me the hell alone and started hitting him and again I started to leave but my son just panicked so I stayed about a month later I said I missed home and I wanted to go back to texas for awhile (which I only missed my dad the rest of my family isnt that great either) and while we were there everything was ok for a long time we were in texas 2 years and then one day he did start yelling and hit me with a pan and again stupid me stayed. I just didnt want to hurt my son but at the same time i thought about the fact I am hurting him by him going through all this with us. So now 2 years later we are back in boston and things were ok for a little but he is so non shalont i guess you could say. He doesnt talk to me at all and he gets mad at me for wanting that , I mean I just want someone to talk to and be able to express themselves to me is there something wrong with that? I j

Resolved Question: Do you have to give your landlord notice if you move out in the state of Texas?
Our house caught fire and we are living in a motel. We found a better house and we want to move there because he won't fix the electrical problems. I have 3 kids and there is no heat. Would I get in trouble by law if we moved out and did't say anything.

Resolved Question: Sunny beach vacation in the continental USA?
I am dreaming of a sunny, warm beach vacation in the continental USA. My ideal place would be someplace warm without a lot of people within three hours drive of an airport. I would like an affordable vacation rental home or bungalow (no motels) on or near the beach. I was thinking somewhere along the Caribbean - maybe Texas or Florida. Any ideas?
Oops, I meant Gulf of Mexico. Has anyone been to Galvenston, Texas? Is it pretty? Is it mello?
